Wild Sky Forecast is owned and maintained by Sam Lambert ("we," "our," or "us"). This service is provided at no cost and is intended for use as-is. By accessing or using the app, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
The information we collect is used to provide and improve Wild Sky Forecast and is limited to what is absolutely necessary for the operation of the app. This information may include:
The information collected does not include personally identifiable information and cannot be linked to a particular user. Your data is never sold to third parties or used for advertising purposes.
When location access is enabled, your location information is shared with Apple Weather to fetch forecast data for your current location. Your location is not collected or stored for any other purpose. The precision of your location information is also reduced when used in weather data requests to further protect your privacy.
You may control whether the app can access your location at any time through your device’s privacy settings. If you disable location access, the app will not request weather for your current location.
Any data you enter within the app is stored locally on your device and securely synced across your devices using Apple’s CloudKit service. This includes, but is not limited to, your itinerary, recent searches, and home location.
This data is stored strictly within your private iCloud account, which is managed entirely by Apple and encrypted in transit and at rest. We have no access to your iCloud data or your Apple ID.
To permanently delete all of your data from both your local device and your iCloud account, you can use the "Delete App Data" option in the app settings.
The app utilizes native Apple frameworks (such as CloudKit and WeatherKit) to provide core functionality. These services are managed entirely by Apple under their own privacy standards.
We also use Sentry for crash reporting and app diagnostics. Sentry may receive crash reports, app error details, device and platform information, and app usage metrics to help diagnose bugs and improve reliability.
Any other integrated third-party libraries or software development kits (SDKs) are used solely to provide core app functionality.
Information shared with third parties is limited to what is necessary for the operation of the app and is protected according to this Privacy Policy.
Wild Sky Forecast is designed and marketed to users over the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
